Movies - BYOS

Okay so you're going to the movies. Do you bring your own snacks or do you buy snacks there?

My family is going to see "Transformers III - Dark of the Moon" tonight at the theaters and this time we will be bringing our own snacks. Concealed, but there is no sign saying you can't bring in your own food.  We will be purchasing drinks there.

See only 2 weeks ago, the hubby and I went to the movies alone (saw "Super 8") and purchased snacks and drinks there. We bought Goobers, Whoppers, and 2 medium sodas - it came to $14. Ouch! The tickets only cost $20.

This time we will be bring out our snacks purchased from our local Dollar Tree for only $1 each.

So are you the type to bring snacks or buy them? Do you feel it's wrong to bring food in or not?

I Always Wished I Could

Did you ever want to be a world famous singer? An actor on the big screen? Able to speak a foreign language fluently? Ride a horse? Own your own business?

I always wished I could be a back up dancer in a music video.  No really! When I was younger I took dance classes and all. I even was a cheer/dancer for a professional sports team during college.

I also always wished I could be a stay at home mom. Personally I'd hate having to send my kids to a day care center each day and summer camp all summer long. My hubby did that and hated it. I had the privilege of my mom being home until I was in middle school. After which I had to stay home alone or stuck at a baby sitter's house all summer and hated it. This was my experience - you're could obviously been different. Do what's right for you.

So...What is something you always wished you could do or be?

101 Loves of My Life

Here's a truly fun exercise to get you writing. On a sheet of paper write out 101 things, people, etc. that you love or enjoy.

Some examples of items you may want to include are:
* the members of your family
* friends
* your pets
* a blank notebook/journal
* the trees when the leaves are changing colors
* when I wake up on a snowy morning and find schools closed
* devils food cake with cream white icing
* etc.

Get creative! It doesn't have to be 101 thing you love, but could be 101 things you want to do before your die. Another option is 101 places you want to visit.

Have fun with this one. I've made a scrapbook page showing my 101 Loves of My Life. See the photo below.

Feel free to share your list.

What is Your Favorite Holiday Movie

What is your favorite holiday movie?

When you were younger, or even now, did you watch the classic holiday movies on television? What about the cartoons?

Here is a list of all the Christmas movies/cartoons I can think of. Have you watched them? Are they your faves? Am I missing any?

White Christmas
Miracle on 34th St.
The Santa Clause, 2 & 3
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
Rudolph's Shiny New Year
Frosty the Snowman
The Year Without a Santa Claus
The Little Drummer Boy
A Christmas Carol
Elf
A Charlie Brown Christmas
A Christmas Story
The Polar Express
Jingle All The Way

I love almost all Christmas movies and would watch them year round. However, my favorite movie is Elf, because I love Buddy the Elf. He's hilarious! My favorite Christmas cartoon is definitely A Year Without a Santa Claus with the Heat Miser and Cold Miser.

Please feel free to add any comments or movies that I missed. Thanks and enjoy :)

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It's a rainy day, cold and dreary!

Do you curl up with a good book?
Watch your favorite movie (an oldie, a romantic comedy, or one to scare your pants off)?
Are you more likely to sleep all day?
Are you one of those who goes to the mall to window shop just to get out of the house?

Have fun writing!

Kids Table vs. Adult Table - Where Do I Fit?

It seems like all of us at one time or another find ourselves trying to figure out where we fit in. It seems like family get-togethers are the perfect time to consider this dilemma.

Do you fit in with the kids, the grown-ups, your married friends, your single friends, or are you still unsure? Are you still stuck sitting at the kids table?

Are all your friends getting married? Are they having kids? Or are you the only one with kids and your friends are still childless?

It can be hard when your friends and family are at different stages of life. It can be harder to relate to each other. Different things are going on in your lives.

So at this moment in time ask yourself -- where do you fit in?

Don't Get Caught!

Have you ever stole something?
I bet you have.

Here are some things that are commonly stolen in the world today. Have you taken any?

Time
Were you paid to work and played on the internet? Talked on a personal call at work?

Money
Ever given the wrong change? Not charged for an item you received?

Office Supplies
Walked out of the office with pens, pencils, paper clips, paper?
Ever run copies of your own personal stuff on the business's copier?

Misc. Stuff
Have you ever been given too much of something - an extra order of fries?
What about items you forgot to pay for under your shopping cart?

Think about it - you probably have stolen something in your life. Hopefully it wasn't something really illegal.
